 Ingredients :

4 large sweet potatoes (3 1/2 lbs. )

1 can (8 oz. ) crushed pineapple, undrained

6 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted, divided.

3/4 teaspoon salt

pinch pepper

1/2 cup crushed saltines

2 tablespoons brown sugar

Pinch cloves

 
 How to Prepare :
In large saucepan boil potatoes.  Drain and cool.  Peel and place in mixing bowl.  Mash.  add pineapple, 2 tablespoons margarine, salt and pepper, mix well.  Transfer to greased 2 quart baking dish.  Combine saltines, brown sugar, cloves and remaining margarine, sprinkle over potatoes.  Bake, uncovered at 375 degree's for 30 minutes.  8 - 10 servings.
